Community Policing ceremony at Parit Bakar Muar

Sambutan Tahun Baru Cina Bersama Community Policing at Parit Bakar,Muar.

Johor police chief, DCP Datuk Hj.Mohd.Mokhtar bin Hj.Mohd. Shariff and all OCPDs joined 1,600 local residents in Parit Bakar,Muar recently to celebrate a one of its kind 2 in1 celebration titled "Community Policing at Chinese New Year".

The message was simple: to remind the public that crime prevention is an on -going process especially during festive seasons.

VIPs in attendance included President of JCCI(Johor Chinese Chamber of Industries) Datuk Lim Ba, CCCM adviser Tan Sri Francis Lau, chairmen of various residents committees and NGOs.

The event was organised by jointly organised by CCCM (Chinese Chamber of Commerce Muar) & Persatuan Penduduk Parit Bakar.

Its president Datuk Koh Kim Thoon in his speech, urged the local business community to adopt Cp,play an active role to work closely with the men in blue in maintaining law and order.

He says:

"CCCM is business oriented but we believe that the pre-requisite for a condusive business environment is peace. If your safety and your family feel unsafe, how are you going to conduct and develop your business?"

Therefore, CCCM has a moral and social obligation to encourage its members and the local community to adopt Cp as a long term strategy to fight crime.
