Innovative Pondok Polis

PETALING JAYA: I was suprised and impressed with the new strategy adopted by PDRM to tackle crime at hot spots in Selangor.

Ready -to- Serve: A Pondok Polis located near the pasar pagi at Seksyen 17, Petaling Jaya where the police officers are stationed there to meet the public.

I noticed Pondok Polis Sementara were put up to get closer to the members of the police. Their have "Open Door" policy because practically there are no doors attached to the pondok and therefore, anybody with any enquiry can just walk in and interact with the duty officers incharged.

The Pondok Polis I spotted at SS2 ,near KFC was without any police personnels (Look at the photo at the bottom ), a bit sad.

Anyhow, when I drove to Seksyen 17,Petaling Jaya three weeks later, I saw a similar Pondok Polis with at least four officers inside the polis ready to serve the people. (Check the photo below)

Keep it up PDRM ! Innovative ideas like these should be go on and on, don't stop and never stop. (and remember there should be always one police personnel to man the booth at any one time)

Service with smile: Public confidence could be built through simple methods like this. Touch base with common folks and you would understand their concerns and inspirations.
